Jewellery is the youngest category in the workshop and the clearest sign that the craft is still moving. It was introduced by Kailash Devi, a national awardee, and it changed who makes things here: for generations the sculpting and firing were done by men while women prepared the clay.

Every bead and every plate is shaped by hand from the same Molela clay as the plaques, fired in the same kiln, then painted and strung. Because the pieces are small they take colour well, so this is the one category where the work is finished in a full palette rather than geru red.
